Chris Waugh, Founder and President of The ComedIT Group, after earning his B.S. in Political Science from Princeton University, Chris worked for Mayors in NYC, Trenton, and Jacksonville. He then went on to found and manage Waugh & Company, 1975 – 1986, a manufacturer of health care equipment. From 1986 to 1997 Chris was the Managing Partner at the Bales Waugh Group, a firm specializing in sales and marketing recruitment for the medical technology sector.

In 1998, Chris founded The ComedIT Group which delivers an integrated range of services to the medical technology market, including executive search, channel development, business-to-business brokering, and consultant staffing.

Among his noteworthy accomplishments are "Individual Excellence" (1995 & 2001) and "President's Club" (1988 - 2006) awards from First Interview, and a listing in the  Fordyce Letter: Who's Who in Executive Search.


John Yorke

John Yorke attended St.John Fisher College with a BBA (Bachelors of Business Administration /Accounting major). He started his career with Abbott Labs, as an FDA specialist, then joined Kendall as a Product Manager for OR and CV products. From 1985 to 1993, he formed and operated Cardiomax; a $45M medical products distributorship  for pacemakers, open heart products and lasers. It was acquired in 1990.
 
In 1991, Mr. Yorke  founded TFGI (the 4 Group inc) to assist start-up and small cap companies to develop business plans and to source funding and secure strategic partners.  A partial list of clients are: PMG (Pennsylvania Merchant Group), J&J Development Company, Zures Medical Group,  SCA Capital Partners, Forest Health Group,  Hillman Medical, Hoya Inc,  21st Century Capital, Greenwich Capital, Barclays Bank  and Micra Instruments LTD.

Being in business since 1988, and having  completed over 2,100 search projects for over 550 medical device companies, Scott Bailey is an innovative consultant and businessman who is well-known and sought after by a broad network of Engineers, Executives, Venture Capitalists, and Entrepreneurs.

He is a teambuilder who attracts other highly motivated and talented professionals.

Scott’s formal education covers Animal Science and Computer Engineering. He started his career and was initially trained in executive search through Fortune Personnel Consultants and Kuhn Med-Tech, and later became a master student and trainer of Morgan Methodology, a premier executive search training system.

In 1992, Scott went on to co-found and later became President of HeartBeat Medical Executive Search, then establish and became Senior Partner for Ocean Medical Executive Search in 2003, firms specializing in technical professionals for the medical device industry. His in-depth knowledge includes R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, Manufacturing, and Operations for cardiac and neuro implants, devices, stents, catheters, and instruments along with orthopedic and ophthalmic device companies.

Jaap de Lange has been advancing medical technology in the global marketplace for nearly 30 years. In his early career he was a Director for 2 NASDAG blue-chip companies - SafeSkin and Bioform - who achieved Forbes magazine “ Best Companies” distinction. He has worked with 5 major start-ups and numerous successful product launches on every continent in specialties ranging from surgical, orthopedic, aesthetic, OBGYN, to Urology.

His scope is corporate sales, marketing, regulatory affairs, and general management (including finance and HR). His creativity and resourcefulness represent a no-frills leadership that delivers solutions for his employers and customers that simply work.


Manny Barrientos

With over 17 years of experience in the Medical Device industry, Manny has conducted search assignments for start-ups to Fortune 1,000 companies. He specializes in the South American market and has represented a broad spectrum of technology companies ranging from start-ups to medium to large cap companies. He works in areas of General Management, Marketing, Sales Management, Sales, and Field Clinical.

Manny  was born in Mexico and raised and educated in the U.S. Manny attended Michigan State University, majoring in Political Science and Pre/Law. Shortly after, he established an Export/Import business venture with trade relations in Venezuela in the area of consumer goods. After closing this partnership, Manny worked as a Director of Marketing and business development for a CPA firm with operations in New York and Jacksonville, FL. Manny speaks and writes English, Spanish, and Portuguese. He understands the recruitment process in Latin America from a cultural standpoint, and quickly builds trust and rapport with indigenous candidates. This ability to gain a candidate’s trust in Latin America is crucial for effective and desired outcomes


Seth Langner

After attending Antioch College, Seth worked for Time Warner Research before joining The ComedIT Group group in 1998. Seth and staff provide advanced internet and telemarketing research with expert knowledge of all major and minor medical specialties and sub-specialties. He is also publisher of the TMA Monthly newsletter and developed the VTO, a single source, cloud based client relationship management system for medical recruiters.
